Ripple Ventures was founded by Matt Cohen, an operator turned investor. After leaving a successful career in institutional finance as a Vice President at RBC Capital Markets and National Bank Financial, Matt was the founding investor of a Toronto-based startup, Turnstyle Solutions, which sold to Yelp for $30M in 2017. Matt launched Ripple Ventures in 2018 as an early-stage venture fund with offices in Toronto & Vancouver that’s been at the forefront of leading investments in B2B Software companies across Canada and the United States.

With over $50M in AUM, Matt is backed by notable limited partners like the Royal Bank of Canada, BDC and Industry Ventures, in addition to some of Canada’s largest Family Offices. Beyond investing, Matt provides deep support and leverages extensive business networks to propel his portfolio companies forward. Matt is also the host of the Tank Talks podcast, where he explores the intricacies of startup investing, business strategies and politics alongside his frequent guest, John Ruffolo, Founder of Maverix PE.
