Ripple Ventures was founded by Matt Cohen in 2018. He is an operator turned investor, starting with his first investment in Turnstyle Solutions. Matt helped bring the company from idea in 2012 to exit in 2017 with more than just his check. Through hands-on operations, strategy, and business development guidance, the company sold to Yelp! in 2017. Afterwards, Matt went on to Street Contxt, a global communication platform for the institutional financial community, to help scale their enterprise sales team.

Prior to the pandemic, we hosted in-person events with our portfolio companies where operating and investing leaders would come share their battle stories and strategies to win. We hosted these events at our incubator space in the heart of downtown Toronto, where some of our portfolio companies worked out of. It was a central hub for founders to come work, meet others, and learn from each other.

As the pandemic shifted our operations, we turned these events into a virtual podcast to continue connecting with industry leaders and providing value to our portfolio companies. We decided to scale this out to offer our network, learnings, and insights to the masses.
